TCQ Computers Sucks!

So I took a risk. And it BACKFIRED on me!!

After a few weeks of mild usage, the laptop has crashed. It won’t even boot up anymore. I was researching some mutual funds, and the screen went blank, and the laptop shut down. At first I thought it was the battery, but when it didn’t boot up, I knew I was f*cked.

I paid $259 for a compaq armada. I just got off the phone with the guy, and he was claiming that nobody has ever complained about the compaqs he sells. Well, I know technically I agreed to a no-return policy, but I’m going to go in on monday and talk with his manager.

I do not, at this time, recommend doing business with TCQ Computers. Hopefully, anybody searching for “TCQ Computers” in Google will find my posting and be dissauded from buying anything from them.

HI Chovy’s blog..
I think you have a very bad day. Since i bought a laptop at TCQ computer, they were great to help me out. The laptop I bought from them exactly the one you got. It worked great. I am very happy about this. But i think your complaining is more racial issue regarding the policy of return. If you’re not sastify with your laptop, can you sell it back to me. I will buy it back from you. In fact, I did come back every week to check on the Compaq laptop, but they told me it gone. I think they doing good because they are very cheap compare to the other store

I’m not racist. I simply don’t like being lied to on the phone, twice. AND their hardware was faulty, the harddrive crashed. They took no responsibility for it.

I have dealt with TCQ since they opened. I have had great dealings with them I have bought a few things from them, like my keyboard and mouse, I bought a great 400 watt logitech sound system that rocks!!!! I liked the keyboard soo much i got anouther for my other computer. Got a wireless headset and so on i have not had any trouble with them except they are not very helpful at times but if you ask them they will help you. What do you want them to do when you had the computer for a month and it crashed. As you said you took a chance and that computer’s time was up. How do they know you didn’t abuse it in that month. I have returned things there……. but not a month later. If you don’t want any problems with your computer pay the big bucks and get a new one. You thould tell your mom…… she might care.

Obviously, you didn’t read the post thoroughly. I was pissed at how they lied to me on the phone to get me in the store.

Nevermind the computer being a piece of sh*t. It’s a compaq, wtf do you expect?

yes, glad to hear it wasn’t just me. That place is *shady* at best. The laptop I bought still has problems with screen flickering on and off.

I should have read this before buying anything from them. They are shady and lie about everything. Has their mom working at the front desk. Poor old lady, everyone was yelling at her because their son wasn’t around to deal with the problems and obviously were hiding in the back when I noticed them and called them out. They were sweating and with panic tried to kick everyone out.

Real Scum and still did not return my defective laptop the day after purchase promising they have a 14 day policy.

It’s clear these guys buy broken stuff from craigslist.
