This week I came down with a bad cold and cough on Tuesday. Stayed home for 2 days, and on Friday, am still having sniffles and coughing. Luckily I didn’t get a fever, I think that was due to my twice-a-day dosage of 500mg Vitamin C tablets, and my generic Tylenol twice a day. I don’t recommend a flushot, as one of my neighbors was paralyzed (GBS - Guillain-Barre Syndrom) in his arms and legs for nearly 6 months, caused by a flu shot last season. I had never heard of this happening, then 2 weeks later, a co-worker of mine was struck with the same illness, she also had recently take a flu shot.
Besides that I enjoyed watching the heated series between Boston and New York of which Boston overcame a 3-0 deficit to win the series. I’m all for Boston winning, although I like Tony LaRussa (St. Louis) because he used to coach for the A’s. Game 1 of the World Series starts at 4:30pm PST Saturday on FOX (channel 2).
