Has anyone seen The Manchurian Candidate (recent movie starring Denzel Washington), in which the Presidential candidate had a chip in his brain which allowed for total control of him by a private corporation (not too far from the what’s really going on in politics today).

Has anyone seen The Manchurian Candidate (recent movie starring Denzel Washington), in which the Presidential candidate had a chip in his brain which allowed for total control of him by a private corporation (not too far from the what’s really going on in politics today).
Anyway, the article FDA approves computer chip for humans from MSN’s web site reports that there are now these VeriChip’s being used for medical information, and the chip is stored just underneath the skin in a 20 minute, non-invasive operation. People in Spain are already using these chips to pay for drinks at bars, and the Mexican government is also using these chips for secure access to area.
The chip itself is no larger than a grain of rice. I wonder if it has a GPS locator in it.
The Orwellian book “1984 ” appears to have been 20 years ahead of it’s time.
