Cell Phone Users: 100 points!
I’m sure this is the driver’s fault, but I could’ve easily prevented it had I not been walking down the street while talking on a cell phone.

Today I went for a good hour long walk, and was talking to a buddy of mine on my cell phone while waiting for the crosswalk to turn green. When it did, I stepped into the street, and from out of seeemingly nowhere, a red miata turning right hits me. I jumped up, and at first thought - “wow, that was close”…but then she hit the gas, unbeknownst to her that she had hit me. I remember thinking “WHAT THE HECK???” as the car started to speed out of the turn and I rolled up ontop of the hood, and then back off and landed on my butt in the street. She started to slow down, as I yelled at the car. She motioned she would pull over (duh!), and at that point I picked up my cell phone, and proceeded to cross the street.
I didn’t realize it until I had already walked off, but my wrist is messed up. Sprained or at least bruised. It’s some of the worst pain I’ve felt since my ankle got ran over a year ago. I realize I probably should’ve stuck around and taken her information so her insurance could pay the bills (hopefully, there won’t be any - Kaiser charges $150 in the emergency room, so I said “Forget it, I’ll go in if it still hurts next week”.
Some drivers. No friggin’ clue. At least she wasn’t driving a suburban :-)
