….Bofa has now gone “Internet Explorer Only”.

I eventually left BofA altogether after getting married, and their lack of support for OFX format and cross-browser compatibility in their web site.

Also, their inhouse “security” feature of showing you a picture seemed rather pointless. Not sure there’s a point to that one, although somebody must see it.

For those interested, the OFX format is the “Open Financial Exchange” format, which would allow people to use whatever financial software they want, instead of the typical two choices of QUicken or MS-MOney. I am hopeful that eventually, major financial institutions will agree upon the OFX format, and this will create a little friendly competition between the major financial software providers. Including open source solutions like Gnu Cash.
