Who the Heck is Oregon Tilth?
Is it real?
I want his job <smiley/>
Oregon Tilth Certification Program.
After a rigorous discussion about whether or not 20 almonds for $8.95 was with buying “organic” (and the fact that I run a site called “organic seo”, lead me to Google to determine, what the heck organic means.
The “Newmann’s Own” bar we bought mentioned “certified by Oregon Tilth”. I thought, who the flug is that? I want that job <smiley/>

Well, it boils down to the individual “certifier”, which so far, I’ve seen on every label. Can I trust the government to regulate organic farmers when they don’t even bother with gross polluters? Aiyyyy….
Anyway, ISO Guide 65 is what it boiled down to along with the USDA/Organic logo.
I did have to pretty much do a trace on this, and in fact, I honestly don’t believe a 2 oz. bag of chocolate covered almonds demonstrates the philosophy that drove “organics” into existence…but then again, that’s just me. And if I want it to become a bitter sweet moment with my sweetie, I probably have to not have written this post to end it.
Orgen Tilth, Inc. by the way, is a non-profit who’s sole purpose is to certify the distribution and creation of organic products, at least Paul’s Own©.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a certified organic seo expert, but I play one online.
