I’m still waiting for Tellme, Inc. to go public
I’ve noticed simple routines on IVR systems, for example, EDD‘s menu and also Kaiser Permanente
For example when a fragment is
It’s quite funny, when I’m on hold, I use speaker phone and when it’s dead silence I whistle, and get the typical “Please be patient, your call will be answered in the order in which it was received!”.
XML is huge, Voice Over XML or IP (VOIP) is even bigger.
Other stock offerings I’d watch are Vonage, 8×8 (Packet8.net), etc.
Correction: 8×8 is public (nasdaq:EGHT).
Also Tellme, Inc. would be a good one to watch for an IPO.
(nasdaq:SONS) did a big deal (infrastructure, etc.) with Vonage who advertises a lot on the TV. AFAIK, vonage is not public yet.
Nokia also looks attractive, after having been to India and Europe, and noticing everything is Nokia, and nokia even allows you to unlock your phone easily (see:Unlocking Your Cell Phone).
