Chuck Norris fact #25: Chuck Norris originally appeared in the “Street Fighter II” video game, but was removed by Beta Testers because every button caused him to do a roundhouse kick. When asked bout this “glitch,” Norris replied, “That’s no glitch.”

GQLPlus

If you’re from the MySQL world, and like the command history environment missing in SQL*Plus, take a look at GQLPlus.

You can install it locally and add it to your PATH.

I’ve read about “EDIT” too, which will let you either edit the last line in SQL*Plus, or a file: “EDIT file.sql”.

EMA Linux TCO Study

Here are the results from the EMA Linux TCO Study.

Some of the key findings contradict earlier claims that Windows has a lower Total Cost of Ownership than Linux. Some of the benefits of Linux management are more sophisticated package management, especially with Debian-based and Gentoo distributions vs. Redhat.
